Published at : October 15, 2021
Union Minister Ajay Mishra Teni’s son Ashish Mishra appeared before police at the Crime Branch’s Lakhimpur Kheri office on Saturday morning. Ashish Mishra appeared a few hours after the Lakhimpur police on Friday evening issued a second notice asking him to appear in connection with the violence in Lakhimpur that killed eight people, including four farmers. Ashish Mishra, the main accused of the incident, was accompanied by his counsel Awadesh Singh and Lakhimpur Sadar MLA Yogesh Verma of BJP. Mishra had failed to respond to the first summon issued to him that required him to present himself on Friday morning. The Supreme Court had criticised Yogi Adityanath led UP government for failing to arrest accused in the Lakhimpur Kheri incident. Watch the full video for more details.
