The reality is that we know a great deal for certain about Jesus Christ. The Gospel accounts of Jesus can be shown to be reliable; their reliability is supported by evidence, including the evidence of archaeology, undesigned coincidences, linguistic fossils and the analysis of the names of people in them. The accounts of Jesus are also supported by what we can learn from the secular literature of the time as well as Christian writings outside the Bible.
We know for certain that Jesus was born in the reign of Herod the Great, that he lived his early life in Galilee where he taught and healed, that he made visits to Jerusalem and that there he was crucified and rose from the dead. The basis of the Christian Gospel is certain and we can believe it.
This presentation shows what we can know about Jesus Christ and summarises the reasons we can be certain of it.
